Following the success of their 2023 Hub design, Thank You Baby returned to serve up another unforgettable experience for the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2024. Responding to the deliciously irreverent theme EAT YOUR ART OUT, TYBB transformed the Trades Hall loading dock into a full-flavoured feast for the senses - leaving no corner untouched.

At the heart of the Hub was a gigantic, mouth-shaped photo-op that literally swallowed audiences whole.. A themed bar and classic pie shop offered comfort with a twist, while long communal dining tables invited festival-goers to chew the fat, swap ideas, and build new connections.

The entire space was wrapped in hundreds of repurposed tablecloths and napkins - abstracting the familiar gingham print into an explosion of texture and colour that draped, billowed, and elevated the humble tablecloth into an immersive, site-wide installation.

And for dessert? A candy-pink chill-out zone decked with plush “sweet sofa” seating, creamy coffee tables, and lamps dripping in sprinkle-like detail.

The 2024 Hub wasn’t just a venue - it was a banquet of bold ideas, lovingly plated by TYBB.
