For Melbourne Fringe Festival 2024, TYBB returned to reimagine the Festival Hub, responding to the irreverent theme EAT YOUR ART OUT with a full sensory takeover of the Trades Hall loading dock.

At the centre sat a giant mouth-shaped photo moment that quite literally swallowed audiences whole, establishing a playful but high-impact focal point. Surrounding it, a themed bar, classic pie shop and long communal dining tables encouraged guests to gather, linger and connect throughout the festival program.

The entire environment was wrapped in hundreds of repurposed tablecloths and napkins, abstracting familiar gingham into a layered site-wide installation of colour and texture. A candy-pink chill-out zone - complete with plush “sweet sofa” seating and sprinkle-detailed lighting - delivered the final TYBB flourish.

A bold, immersive Hub that turned the venue into a full-flavoured experiential world.
