For Everybody Loves Cake, the debut cookbook by baker Alisha Henderson, Thank You Baby was engaged to bring a world of stories, characters, and flavour to life through immersive set design and styling.

What makes this cookbook unique is its heart: woven throughout the 80 recipes are portraits of ten people who’ve shaped Alisha’s life and creative journey. We were tasked with designing a custom set for each of these profiles, translating personality, memory, and emotion into visual atmospheres. Each portrait became its own mini world — playful, nostalgic, and a little bit cinematic.

The recipe imagery followed the same approach. Drawing inspiration from Wes Anderson’s symmetry and a touch of vintage charm, we created a suite of scenes where each cake could feel like the star of its own story. Colour, texture, and a little TYBB playfulness shaped the visual language, all captured beautifully by photographer Hugh Davison.

The result is a cookbook that feels as personal as it is celebratory: a collection of recipes elevated by world-building, storytelling, and the unmistakable TYBB touch.
