Ty Hawkins is a Melbourne/Naarm-based Creative Director. After an early career as a professional contemporary dancer with companies including Chunky Move and Opera Australia, Ty retrained at NIDA, graduating with a Master of Design for Performance.
Through TY DESIGNS, his practice has spanned set, costume, AV, film, theatre, event, experience, fashion and creative direction for major brands including Sydney Theatre Company, Opera Australia, Malthouse Theatre, RUSSH and Louis Vuitton. Ty has also delivered large-scale festival design for Adelaide Fringe Festival (2020) and Melbourne Fringe Festival (2022).
